The clients are into varying business interests and needed an office space which would take care of all of them under one roof. The existing site had a large gradient going down in the south and the road was on the north face. As this situation was anti vaastu and the entire designed space had to be 100% vaastu compliant, almost 20′ of filling was carried out at the south end of the site.
The ground floor has been designed as an office space for the head of the family with his cabin and ante room, waiting lounges for visitors, staff space, pantry and two guest rooms.
The corporate offices for the two sons are on the first and second floor, designed on an open office system plan to make maximum utilization of space. The open structure is decidedly pragmatic and efficient, with private offices and team spaces enclosed within mostly glass partitions that simultaneously confer acoustical privacy and transmit daylight and views to the interior areas. These are located on the perimeter wall and share computer and telecommunications connections, while administrative and storage support are placed in the central core. The support personnel are organized in open plan workstations set in alcoves.
The stilt floor is used for parking and services along with space for the servant and watchman quarters.
